Hi, I'm having issues with the below. I'm trying to trimmean the weeks where the weekly number is greater than 5. I want to trim the mean to then exclude the top /bottom 10%. Below is the formula I currently have which I cannot get to work. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

{=TRIMMEAN(IF(A2:H2>5,A2:H2),0.1)}

Excel Facts

Remove leading & trailing spaces
Save as CSV to remove all leading and trailing spaces. It is faster than using TRIM().
The TRIMMEAN function can be confusing. The percent part of TRIMMEAN(array,percent) is the number of data points to exclude. Using your example there are 6 data points greater than 5, To calculate the number of data points to exclude Excel would take the 0.1x6=.6 it then rounds this number up which would equal 1 and then divides this number by 2 to get the number of data points to exclude from the top and bottom of the data. Since in your example this number would be .5, so no data points are exclude.

From Office support:
https://support.office.com/en-us/article/trimmean-function-d90c9878-a119-4746-88fa-63d988f511d3

TRIMMEAN rounds the number of excluded data points down to the nearest multiple of 2. If percent = 0.1, 10 percent of 30 data points equals 3 points. For symmetry, TRIMMEAN excludes a single value from the top and bottom of the data set.

If you want to exclude the top/bottom 10%, then maybe something like this:
This is an array formula and must be entered with CTRL-SHIFT-ENTER.
