I have a trimmean formula that looks at data daily and the result is set up to measure quarterly. at the beginning of each quarter the info is not reliable as there is insufficient data. I was thinking if a took the results of the past quarter and added it to the current quarter the first few entries would become more reliable. how would I add a cell that is not in the column trimmean is pulling from.

Hi

You can use a multi-area range as a parameter for TrimMean().

For ex., let's say that your values are in E1:E20, but now you'd also like to include some values from column D, for ex. D1:D10.

In that case, try:

=TRIMMEAN((E1:E20,D1:D10),20%)
