Hello,

What would the formula be if I wanted to find an average but exclude all zeros and exclude the top and bottom 5 percent?

I know how to exclude the top and bottom 5 percent but I cant figure out how to ignore zeros.

Excel Facts

How to fill five years of quarters?
Type 1Q-2023 in a cell. Grab the fill handle and drag down or right. After 4Q-2023, Excel will jump to 1Q-2024. Dash can be any character.
Maybe:

=TRIMMEAN(IF(A2:A26<>0,A2:A26),5%)
confirmed with Control+Shift+Enter, where A2:A26 is your range.

A bit kosher: control+shift+enter, not just enter...

=TRIMMEAN(IF(ISNUMBER(1/A2:A26),IF(A2:A26>0,A2:A26)),5%)
