got some weird formatting issue here. So This is not a trim issue. Trim does not take care of this. Any ideas? we are just trying to do simple Vlookup here but writing a formula to fix the spaces and making the numbers the same is proving to be a challenge. Thanks!

What did Pito Salas invent?
Pito Salas, working for Lotus, popularized what would become to be pivot tables. It was released as Lotus Improv in 1989.
Is it all formatted as text? Could you paste some sample data and formulas in here instead of a screenshot so we can use that same data for testing?

TRIM targets spaces, while CLEAN targets nonprinting characters.

Try the FORMAT function. Search for its use and syntax in Microsoft support webpages.
