Hello everyone,

I have a lot going on it my workbook for work. The sheet has had a lot of modifications to it and it is now behaving slowly. It takes roughly 6 seconds to apply a filter to the worksheet when it used to take .01 seconds. If I move the worksheet into a new book the speed is right back to normal.

Is there anyway to re-speed up my original workbook when applying filters?

Currently, I put a stop if cell = No for conditional formatting on all the tabs, but the performance is still as stated above. Thanks for your help.

Excel Facts

Why are there 1,048,576 rows in Excel?
The Excel team increased the size of the grid in 2007. There are 2^20 rows and 2^14 columns for a total of 17 billion cells.
Ok. I was able to speed up the document from 7 mins macro run time to 45 seconds, by removing some of my conditional formatting. Filters are now instantaneous. My CF was banding the rows to gray, but apparently was not working properly. I'll have to find a better solution to auto band row colors based on filtering.

Convert the data to a Table, apply banded style (check banded rows checkbox in Table Tolls design dab).
