Trend Analysis - Struggling to get Started

Need to complete a trend analysis showing total paid and total units by quarter, Tried a few times using the TREND formula but getting errors all the time. I need to then analyze the observed trends which should be easy enough once I can get the formula to work.

Excel Facts

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.
Wanted to give this a bump this morning to see if any of the members have a way to approach analyzing this data.
