I'm working with greyhound records. There are 6 dog records listed in one column, one under the other. Each record can and does vary in the number of races run by each greyhound in the race. I need to transfer all the data for each dog to adjacent column but only the last 12 runs. Some dogs have 20, 30, or even 70 or more runs or rows shown. I am very much a learner. Please could someone give me some direction.

That image is almost impossible to read and we cannot copy from it for testing. I suggest that you make up a smaller (but representative) set of dummy data, fill in the results that you would want manually and post that with XL2BB
(If you have trouble with XL2BB, review the "XL2BB Icons greyed out" link in the 'Known XL2BB issues' section near the top of the XL2BB Instructions page linked above.)

Then explain again in relation to that new sample data. With your sample data & expected results, make it for reporting the last 3 runs only (we can subsequently expand to 12) as that way you will not need so many rows. Instead of 6 dogs with up to 20, 30 etc rows, make it for 3 dogs with maximums of 5 or 6 rows.

BTW, when we are dealing with the 12 results, is it possible that some dogs could have less than 12 rows?

Are you still using Excel 2016?
