Hi there,

Longtime lurker... my brain is a bit fried tonight.

I'm trying to figure out a simple spreadsheet that can spit out tournament payouts based on a flexible number of players (we might have 55, 60, 100) and flexible percentages based on the pot size (if we have 100 players, we would like to pay more players than if we had 50).

Something like [input number of players] [input pot size] [input # of payouts] [input percentage of each payout]

It doesn't have to be pretty... it would just save a ton of time as we're trying to calculate payouts on the go.

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!!

Well, it's kinda rough at this point. By the way, I appreciate the help! :)

But here's what I have:

60 players, $850 Total Pot, 6 spots paid.

1. 240 - 28%
2. 200 - 23.5%
3. 160 - 19%
4. 120 - 14%
5. 80 - 9%
6. 50 - 6%

How about showing an example of 100 players and how you figure the payouts and another example of 50 players and how you figure the payouts?

If you are doing the math on the run, you could show how you do it by hand and surely someone will have a clever auto-calculate system to offer.

Do you want input boxes for the data entry?

Regards,
Howard

If you can show the maths behind these figures then it would be easier to do something in excel
