i want to get total of value in each cell in every alternate row,
like =sum(A5+A7+A9+A11+A13+...............A502.)
how can i do it in short way.

Try...

=SUMPRODUCT(--(MOD(ROW(A5:A502)-ROW(A5),2)=0),A5:A502)

Just adjust the ranges in the formula to suit...

=SUMPRODUCT(--(MOD(ROW(A2:A253)-ROW(A2),2)=0),A2:A253)
