I did a search and found some old peeves indirectly related to this.
However, whwhwhat are the good reasons for threads to be split over page 1 page 2 etc? There are a lllot of ggooggood reasons for tttopics NOT to be splsplsplit over pppappappages. And a lot of bad comes from paginating.
Regards,
Brian

I vote for removing pagination.

On slow machines / conections loading, eg, a 4 page thread as a single page could take a significant amount of time. Not a good thing, for a variety of reasons.

There is a list of reasons on either side. That's why I put in a poll. If there are many people with connections that are so slow that 4 pages of text is torture, then this should come out. But at least lets move 4 years into the 21C, and make the pages much longer. If this is really hurtin' then you'll hear about it. I doubt that you would.

Is it really that difficult to turn the page? Have we become such a one-click society that that's asking too much?

Does anyone read paper books any more?

Oh ok, alright, ok, ok.
So mayhaps there can be an option in one's profile.
  • Yes, I want to see stuff chunked into pages,
    or
No, gimme it all at once.
Put this into the next upgrade of MrExcel and then sell the software to ExcelForum.com for a killing.

Top right of the beginning of the thread

Anent: Print Version:
It's not pretty, but you can read the entire thread, or use the browser Find function on one page, instead of 3 or 4 or mo. However, you have to go back to [what page?] to then reply or whatever, since the printable version has neither featurenality nor functure.
