Hello All,

Have a question on how Excel creates charts.
Input data:
- Daily 'topics' with values.
- Topics can vary daily.
- Values can vary daily.

I create a chart that shows ALL data from lets say January. - March 3rd, AND I choose the top 5 to view.

My question is, at the bottom of the chart, what 5 'topics' are choses as the top 5? Is it the most current value? - in this example being March 3rd. I ask as EACH day can have a different topics as well as top 5's

Hope that makes sense.

Again, just need to know how the legend's top 5 are being chose for the current chart - I am assuming it's the most current date.

Thanks again for any help.

Eric

Control Word Wrap
Press Alt+Enter to move to a new row in a cell. Lets you control where the words wrap.
Top 5? I suspect you are using a pivot chart then. As far as I know, that's always on the grand total. Or you are using a feature I don't know off.
