Hi everyone,
I need to a query to look at a set of results and NOT show the lowest 5 and highest 5 values. (For any statisticians amongst you - I'm trying to get rid of my outliers before performing skew and standard deviation tests.)

All bright ideas would be more than welcome.

Thanks in advance,

Robin :rolleyes:

try this, I'm calling your field to evaluate VAL and your primary key ID

SELECT *
FROM MY_TABLE
WHERE ID not in
(SELECT top 5 ID FROM MY_TABLE order by VAL)
and ID not in
(SELECT top 5 VAL FROM MY_TABLE order by VAL desc);
