Does anyone know a way to turn off security messages in Access 2003?
I have a client that is frustrated with the layers of message boxes when she opens an Access file she designed and wants to share with others in her group. She is concerned that other users will also have to wade through the security messages.
The first message says: Warning: Unsafe expressions are not blocked. Do you want to block unsafe expressions?
What are the consequences of saying yes vs no?
The second message talks about installing Jet Service pack 8 or later, and asks about sandbox mode.
The third message says: This file may not be safe if it contains code that was intended to harm your computer. Do you want to open the file?
---
What does Sandbox mode do? What are the pros and cons of working in sandbox mod?
She is working on a computer which is based on a standardized image and is not at liberty to install service packs on her own. How could she tell which Jet service pack she has?
PLEASE help explain how to deal with these new security measures.
Note: I understand that these are to protect users from macro viruses and the like. But it is getting in the way of my client's being abot to do their work.
Thanks for any help!
