I would like Excel to display today's day of the week each time I open the spreadsheet. I see I can put in a specific date and have it translate to a day of week, but I want "today" as day of week.

I'd greatly appreciate an e-mail to {moderator removed email address} if you have this answer.

Thanks.

I'm not sure I understand completely, but if you enter =TODAY() and format the cell as dddd then it will display the day. Alternatively use =TEXT(TODAY(),"dddd")

Welcome to the mrExcel board!

You could also just put =TODAY() in a cell and apply a Custom Format of "dddd" to the cell.
