Hi
When I use today(), it will return today date in this format 10\10\2017 so far so good. However, when I use workday(), it will return number like 43032. I know I have to change the format to date but why I did not need to do that with today(). Thanks

Using Function Arguments with nested formulas
If writing INDEX in Func. Arguments, type MATCH(. Use the mouse to click inside MATCH in the formula bar. Dialog switches to MATCH.
I don't think there is an answer to that. When some functions are entered into a cell formatted as General, they automatically change the format for the return type; some that could, don't.
