Hey guys,

Again i know this is simple but for some reason I'm drawing blanks.....

Excel Facts

Which came first: VisiCalc or Lotus 1-2-3?
Dan Bricklin and Bob Frankston debuted VisiCalc in 1979 as a Visible Calculator. Lotus 1-2-3 debuted in the early 1980's, from Mitch Kapor.

Re: Help! Today Function to Extract Data?

Thanks for the quick reply, the % are based off a formula inside the column. Just need a way to relay that into another cell based off the current date.

Re: Help! Today Function to Extract Data?

Can you please post the formula, and explain any details that we need to know to understand how it works?

Re: Help! Today Function to Extract Data?

This sheet is used to give our Projects Managers an accurate idea where we should be % on our project

this project is 1/22/18 thru 5/23/18

the formula below give us the %

=D6/$D$127

i have 4 columns

B- DATE
C- DAY(MON)
D- DAY # (BASED OFF HOW MANY DAYS IN THE PROJECT)
E- % COLUMN. How far along we should be in the project based off the allotted time

hope this helps

Re: Help! Today Function to Extract Data?

So what is in D6 and D127?

It might be best to post an actual data example, and show your expected results, so we can see exactly what it is you are doing (and not have to "guess" at some of these important details).

Re: Help! Today Function to Extract Data?

Is D127 the allotted time? If so you already have the answer (column D (apparently cumulative days???)/D127)
