Hello!

I would like to hide the formula on G, H, and K. Please see the image via a link: https://agrissy92.files.wordpress.com/2018/09/excel_design.png

G Column: =IF([@[Payment Due]]>=[@[Date Paid]],,F8*0.05)

H Column: =[@Amount]+[@[Late Fee]]

K: =ABS(H8-J8)

I have been trying to hide the formula on a new, but it is still showing "$ -." I think I miss an insert in the formula to hide them. Is there a way to hide them?

Thanks in advance!

Excel Facts

Convert text numbers to real numbers
Select a column containing text numbers. Press Alt+D E F to quickly convert text to numbers. Faster than "Convert to Number"
Your question is a bit confusing. Are you asking to show a blank if the cell does not contain the answer you are looking for?

copy your work in another file and test it there.
I don't know if the formula can be hidden as is - but protecting the cells/columns will prevent anyone from accessing them.
in the Format cell - select all cells - uncheck "Locked" - select the cells/columns you want to deny access - then check "locked" - and in the protect sheet -- uncheck "select locked cell" - then protect the sheet.
this way the other "unlocked" cells can be accessed..
hope this helps

Hi,

Hiding formulas is pretty simple and straight forward, Format cells, Protection, Hidden, Protect sheet.

But your comment above regarding cell Still showing "$ - ", I believe that's a result of 0 (zero) from your formula in cells Formatted as "Accounting", and has Nothing to do with hiding or not hiding the formulas.
