Hi,

I am in need of code that would create two new excel workbooks and rename them by referring cell A1 and B1.

I also require those two new workbooks to get saved in the same folder where the workbook with the macro resides.

The newly created workbooks need not remain open.

Thanks in advance

Excel Facts

Round to nearest half hour?
Use =MROUND(A2,"0:30") to round to nearest half hour. Use =CEILING(A2,"0:30") to round to next half hour.
Try

Code:
Sub NewBooks()
Dim bk1 As String, bk2 As String
bk1 = Range("A1").Value
bk2 = Range("B1").Value
Workbooks.Add
ActiveWorkbook.SaveAs Filename:=ThisWorkbook.Path & "\" & bk1
ActiveWorkbook.Close savechanges:=False
Workbooks.Add
ActiveWorkbook.SaveAs Filename:=ThisWorkbook.Path & "\" & bk2
ActiveWorkbook.Close savechanges:=False
End Sub
