I need to create a VBA code for a spreadsheet I am working on where if data is entered, or the cell is modified in any aspect, then a timestamp will appear in the cell under it.

For example, if cell B1 or B2 was modified (data entry or whatnot), then in cell B4 a timestamp would appear. I currently have a code to make the timestamp appear in the next column same row, but not the same column different row.

Any help? :confused:

Thanks

Add this to your worksheet change event

Code:
    If Not Intersect(Target, Range("B1:B2")) Is Nothing Then
        Range("B4") = Now()
    End If

That would work, but I have to do about 720 columns, and 72 rows worth of code...that a lot of copying that code over and over. This is what I have where it will timestamp/datestamp every cell in column, if the adjoining one is modified. So if C1 was modified, D1 would throw a timestamp.. Or change it to C1 and/or D1 modified, E1 will put timestamp. Is there a code that will timestamp change an enitre row instead of column..basically flip what this code is. I tried to modify it to see if it would work, but it won't.

If Target.Column = 1 Then
Application.EnableEvents = False
Cells(Target.Row, 4).Value = Date + Time
Application.EnableEvents = True
End If
