Hello,

I am trying to set up a simple time sheet tracker.

How can I enter start and end times and then total the hours for each task. I tried in the below example but appreciate any help on this.

Thanks

Excel Workbook

Excel Facts

Last used cell?
Press Ctrl+End to move to what Excel thinks is the last used cell.
How about
=IF(G5="","",IF(G5< F5,G5+1,G5)-F5)

That looks like it will work but how do I enter the times? How are they formatted?

If I enter "8" shouldn't it say 8:00 am if it's before noon?

Thank you

Enter them as 8:00 and format to whatever you want.

However with the formula you are using, you will need to enter time in 24hr format.
