I am using this formula which works great from from within the 24 hour time, but if I go from one day to the next it is off. =SUM((H1543-G1543)*24)

How can I enter a time of 9pm to 2am = 5 and still maintain the normal 6am to 3pm = 9?

Excel Facts

Using Function Arguments with nested formulas
If writing INDEX in Func. Arguments, type MATCH(. Use the mouse to click inside MATCH in the formula bar. Dialog switches to MATCH.
The hours will always be under 24 hours, but when I do it this way when going from pm to am I get the value of 19 and if I go from am to pm I will get a negative number. Is it that I have to format the cell with a different time option?
