Hello!

I am looking for a formula that lists a new number ever time a new time would appear. For example (7:16, 7:16, 8:34, 9:25 = 1,1,2,3)

the only problem is, i need this to start over every time a new day appears in another column.

i hope that's clear and that someone can help.

Excel Facts

Lock one reference in a formula
Need 1 part of a formula to always point to the same range? use $ signs: $V$2:$Z$99 will always point to V2:Z99, even after copying
The easiest way would be to add date and time together in a new column, then rank that column with a formula like

=SUMPRODUCT(1/COUNTIF(C$2:C2,C$2:C2))

Where C2 hods the first combined date and time.
