Time to appear as only hh:mm:ss

I have several fields which are larger than 24hrs. Is it possible to make sure that excel doesnt start incrementing a date, but instead just allows these records to remain in the hh:mm:ss format?

ie its currently converting 36:00:00 to 01/01/1900 12:00:00 but i want the 36:00:00 format.

Format the cells as Custom [h]:mm:ss
