Hi Everyone,

Somewhere I read where one can put a limit on the time it takes to enter data in a cell and now I am not finding it.
The idea is to be able to populate a cell with a hand held scanner and not be able to edit that string manually because
of a time constraint. I have experimented with "LOCKING" the cell after population but that is causing some issues.

I am wondering if anyone is familiar with something like that?

Thank you!!

Can you sort left to right?
To sort left-to-right, use the Sort dialog box. Click Options. Choose "Sort left to right"
.
You could implement a "time limit" on a cell .. but ... unless you lock the cell afterwards or hide it or something ... the user will still be able to edit the contents later.

Could your project use a USERFORM to imput the scanner data, then have that data transferred to a hidden sheet the User cannot access ?
