I have several charts with both positive and negative values. The labels for the x-axis are currently coded to be offset the maximum value of 1000. This is not enough to always make sure the labels fall below the largest negative value. Does anyone know of another way to set the location of these labels?

Author John Walkenbach was Mr Spreadsheet until his retirement in June 2019.
I have resolved my own problem. I removed the offset completely and used "low" for the ticklabel location which can be found in the Format Axis (X)-- Patterns -- Tick Mark Labels
