Format cells as currency
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+4 to format cells as currency. (Shift 4 is the $ sign).
Is it? how embarassing - i usually check out/verify those.
I couldn't find it at my hoax site...
 
Well, I'm sure it happened *somewhere* at some point in time. It's very well possible. But it's simply one of those stories that goes around. Check the comments on the WTF article.

That doesn't make it any less funny, though. :)
 
I read some of the comments - not all. don't have that much spare time.
 
can't find anything *for sure* that says it's a hoax....
