The underlined letter shortcuts...

Question please. As an example, you have a cell with a note in it. You right click. The Delete function has the 't' underlined. But hitting Alt and 't' doesn't delete the note. ???

How is this shortcut of the small underlined 't' used properly?

Thanks, as always!!!

Round to nearest half hour?
Use =MROUND(A2,"0:30") to round to nearest half hour. Use =CEILING(A2,"0:30") to round to next half hour.
Good question. By me, the undelined t to delete a note, also not work. And a double t and Enter (as Fluff write), just brings up the CF menu !!

Were you using Alt as well, or just t?

;) Alt+t - just t, would give a t in the cell, as it's active, to get the note deleted.

You need to right click & then use t twice.

I played a bit with this, and I can see, that the Right-click menu (or Shift+F10) need to be active, and then it's enough to type t once. But I think Microsoft has missed something here, as it can't be a Shortcut, to use Alt+t (underlined in Notes). Strange to have the menu active, itself, to could delete.

I've always used Alt, e, a, m. Must've originated in pre-ribbon Excel.

Thank all!

Ok, so these all work as "shortcuts"... (just kidding with the emoji).

  • Right click, o, t, t, Enter (Or Right click, e,t,t, Enter. These will eventually get you to the desired 't' to Delete Note but with an extra keystroke.)
  • Right click, t, t, Enter (Fewer keystrokes as the first t is for Cut, second t is for Delete Note.)
  • Alt, e, a, m (Very cool old school choice)
  • Alt, r, d, (Even cooler old school choice)

Thanks again!!!
