The text is too long to be edited.

Hello,

I'm creating a table in access but I keep getting a message says " The text is too long to be edited". Please help me resolve this issue..

what kind of text are you working with when you get this error message? What are you actually doing when you get this error message?

Im trying to add the text below:

name_of_third_party_entity_receiving_payment_or_transfer of value

In what? A text or memo field?

Is that the full text? What are you doing with that text when you get the error? Is there any other text involved?

I tried it in both "text" and "memo" filed. I get the message above when I entered it on the field.

You said you are getting an error trying to create a table...

A field name is limited to 64 characters and your name is 65 characters so I guess you will need to remove one character in the field name (plus, better not to have spaces in a field name, as well).

I take it that the posted text is data and not a field name. Then again, it seems there are 65 characters and the name limit is 64...
You probably altered the default 255 character limit of the field so that won't accept all of your example. Less likely is that you've reached the size limit for your db.
