Hi Friends,

I am new to this forum.

I am getting below error in excel-

"we couldnt get data from external source. here is the error message we got -
The query referenced calculated column xx which does not hold any data because evaluation of one of the rows caused an error."

I connected my excel to a server, to a particular cube.
Whenever I try to drag a measure column in pivot I get the above error.And when I drag dimension columns I get data but it is wrong data. How can I solve that error.

Any help will be highly appreciated.

Are you using PowerPivot, or accessing the cube directly from the PivotTable?

Did you create calculated column xx, or is the a field defined in the cube?
