What the heck is that?
Well, hey, it's Thanksgiving here in the United States, so for all of you who are watching on Turkey day, hope you're having a great Thanksgiving.
Of course, tomorrow starts the big holiday shopping season and we always try and come up with some deals.
This year, I’ve got to tell you, this was predicated by my wife Mary Ellen.
Every time I go do a seminar or we have a webcast, about a week ahead of time, I say, hey, how many books are you going to need?
How many people are going to be there?
They say, “Well, we have 70 people signed up, but they might be 75.” So, I go ahead and I order 80 books and I take the books to the seminar.
I hand the books out and then I bring the books back.
Then those books go on a shelf.
Well, this past weekend, Mary Ellen pointed out, “There are a lot of stray books in that shelf and I want those shelves back for something else.” So, we're having a garage sale.
Look, what a deal here.
I get to pick the book.
It's just whatever books are left over from these seminars.
One book $6.23.
That’s 3 bucks for the book and 3.23 for media mail shipping.
We’ll do two books, three books.
I'll throw some little promo item in there.
Nothing big; maybe post-it notes, maybe a pen, who knows?
We’ll ship it out.
Now, that's for the United States only because that media mail shipping only works for the U.S.
So, that will start sometime Thanksgiving evening and run through the weekend just in an effort to clear those shelves out.
Mary Ellen Jelen will appreciate that.
Next, AmEx.
If you have an American Express card, they've designated Saturday a small business Saturday.
This is worldwide.
You spend $25 at a small retailer and they will give you a credit for 25 bucks.
They said that mrexcel.com qualifies as a small retailer.
So, we're having a special deal here.
These two eBooks: Slaying Excel Dragons and Excel Outside, 25 bucks.
Pay with your American Express card on Saturday, you get a deal on the books and you'll get that money back from American Express.
If you choose to spend your $25 with us, that would be a wonderful, wonderful thing.
Appreciate that.
Then, cyber Monday.
So, you're back to work and everyone wants to shop instead of go out.
We'll run that same deal.
Two books for $25 PDF or ePub.
So, if you got a new iPad, you can put that ePub on your iPad.
It looks great in full color, of course, and we’ll run that deal on Monday.
So, there you go.
Plenty of shopping opportunities.
No excel tips today.
I want to thank everyone for stopping by.
I hope you have a great Thanksgiving.
We'll be back tomorrow with another podcast from MrExcel.
