I have a column, which I enter in a percentage (formatted that way) if I add 100, it used to appear as 100% which is how I want it, now though for some reason it shows as 10000%, this has only happened recently and seems to be happening to all workbooks opened on this PC which makes me think a setting to excel has changed

Anyone got any ideas ?

Thanks
Paul

How can you automate Excel?
Press Alt+F11 from Windows Excel to open the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) editor.
1=100% which is why you are getting 10,000%
If you used to get 100=100% then I suspect the cell was not formatted as a percentage, but as a custom format of some kind.

Long shot, in the advanced section of options, do you have the 'Enable automatic percent entry' option checked? If not, check it.
