I was in my neighbours house the other day and he asked me to put together a quick spreadsheet (he is a doctor doing research).

I discovered that he knew nothing about excel (and i really mean it......nothing about forumlas, summation etc). i cant figure out how he got through university.

So, what is the best Mr Excel book for someone who is starting from scratch? is the podcast book the one or, as i suspect, Learn Excel from MrExcel?

Thanks in advance

Excel Facts

Why does 9 mean SUM in SUBTOTAL?
It is because Sum is the 9th alphabetically in Average, Count, CountA, Max, Min, Product, StDev.S, StDev.P, Sum, VAR.S, VAR.P.
I agree - with both of you.
Should be renamed
*hint* *hint* :-D

Seriously - it goes over the absolute basics - just check out the table of contents!

Tell me about it. I am trying to figure out if I can sticker the cover or if they should tear the old cover off and glue another cover on...

you can't republish it with the new cover? I haven't read it, but doesn't it need a few small changes? Remove CEO references?
