The function GetOpenFileName does not work in Excel 2010 (32 bit) in Windows 7, but does work in Excel 2007 (32bit) in Windows. The window does not open and returns "false" to Output. To test the code, you need to run the sub startit. The problem happens in thCommonFileOpenSave, Line containing "If OpenFile Then fResult = th_apiGetOpenFileName(OFN) Else fResult = th_apiGetSaveFileName(OFN)".

Code:
Option Explicit

Type thOPENFILENAME
    lStructSize As Long

    hInstance As Long

Excel Facts

Test for Multiple Conditions in IF?
Use AND(test, test, test, test) or OR(test, test, test, ...) as the logical_test argument of IF.
As a matter of interest why don't you just use Application.Getopenfilename?

Your type definition looks wrong to me. It should be:
Rich (BB code):
Type thOPENFILENAME
    lStructSize As Long
    hwndOwner As Long
    hInstance As Long
    strFilter As String
    strCustomFilter As String
    nMaxCustFilter As Long
    nFilterIndex As Long
    strFile As String
    nMaxFile As Long
    strFileTitle As String
    nMaxFileTitle As Long
    strInitialDir As String
    strTitle As String
    Flags As Long
    nFileOffset As Integer
    nFileExtension As Integer
    strDefExt As String
    lCustData As Long
    lpfnHook As Long
    lpTemplateName As String
End Type

Rory, you are great. Now it works in Excel 2010. Strange that is error is not detected in Excel 2007 and is detected in Excel 2010
