Hi
How to put text with a formula. I want to say

"The total is" = sum(1,2)

Thank you

Excel Facts

How to total the visible cells?
From the first blank cell below a filtered data set, press Alt+=. Instead of SUM, you will get SUBTOTAL(9,)
Thanks you for the help. I have a text box, and I link the box to cell A1
So I clicked on the boarder of the box and then typed in the formula box ="hello" & A1
but excel did not like it

Thanks

Here's more complete directions.

Type the formula ="Hello "&A1 into a cell, say B1. Then select the text box. Now click into the formula bar. Type =B1 in the formula bar and press enter. The correct text should show in the text box.
