Text to columns

Hi all,

I have a range of numbers in AB with 000 before them (ie 00042008) but i need it to return just (42008)

Now by normal means this would be easy but i have a code that copies the data and i cant/dont want to change the data manually

is there a code that can change column AB to numbers only without the 000 at the beginning

I tried text to columns which worked but the macro recorder didnt copy it over?
