When I enter a formula in the main Excel Questions forum it seems to revert to lower case no matter what I type in. I can't seem to generate this error in the Testing forum. Anybody have any idea why?

=MOD(A1,2)

=MID(A1,2,LEN(A1)-1)

EDIT: apparently doesn't do it here either...

If you only enter the formula I believe the board thinks you are yelling and then it puts the words in lower case. if you were to type something like:

Try:

=MID(A1,2,LEN(A1)-1)
Since you have a lower case letter it will not lower case your formula. Does that make sense?
