Hi,

I am trying to use the textjoin function along with a date which isnt coming out in the correct format:

=TEXTJOIN(,,"Consolidated hours for ",I12,", details as attached")

I don't want to change the format in cell I12 as that is correct to be displayed as it is - any way I can get the format changed in the textjoin?

Thanks
Emma

Can you AutoAverage in Excel?
There is a drop-down next to the AutoSum symbol. Open the drop-down to choose AVERAGE, COUNT, MAX, or MIN

Try this:

=TEXTJOIN(,,"Consolidated hours for ",TEXT(I12,"DD/MM/YYYY"),", details as attached")

Dates are stored as a number which is what you are getting.
