The question is:

The Text Function formula won't bring back the result on the tab/table that it was originally formated on - but when copied - it will work on another tab/table on the same spreadsheet.

The error that comes back is #VALUE.

Any solutions?

Re: Text Function Formula Reply

Hi Marc !

Thanks very much for the reply, however, I am unable to answer your question because I was asking on behalf of someone else and they have left office for the weekend.

I will send you a reply on Tuesday, May 20th.

Again, thanks for replying.

Have a good weekend !

Re: Text Function Formula - Reply (Tuesday-AM)

The formula we have is working correctly however it is still not working on the original tab. We think we have the problem narrowed down to a formatting difference from the other tabs ? Would that cause this problem?

Our originall formula is ="based on" & " " & YEAR-2 & " " & "acres >"

Why would this formula work when it is copied to another tab and not work on the original tab it was copied from?

Cinderella

What is YEAR? Is it a named range? If you are trying to use the Excel function YEAR, you need to enter a value in parentheses after it.

If it is a named range, you should avoid naming ranges the same name as an Excel function.
