🤓 Good day my fellow nerds,

I need help so I came here to see what Master Nerd could be so kind to solve this issue I am having.

What I am trying to do:
Using the = to pull text from one cell to another.

Example:
  1. Text in Cell C271 is "A Briefer History of Time".
  2. When I go into another cell on the spreadsheet and type in =C271 and hit Enter it displays "A Briefer History of Time"

Issue:
  1. I've been using this for my spreadsheet, and it works 90% of the time. Other times it will not change and will stay displayed as "=C271"
  2. It does not pull the text from one cell to another.
  3. When it works it stays, this issue is for when it is done for the first time in that cell.

Please help!

Hi & welcome to MrExcel.
It sounds as though some of the cells are formatted as text. Make sure they are General before entering the formula.
