Hi,
I'm hoping someone can help me or point me in the direction of where i could find some.
I have exported a lot of data from a database into a text file. within the database, the data was held on individual records but has come across onto one text file. All of the data has come across but there is a problem with some of it. On some of the records, there is data that is in the correct location but has come up as ||||||||. The 8 characters are the correct length but when importing the data from text file into the new database, it cannot read beyond the ||||||||. I need to delete the |||||||| but also keep the 8 spaces so that the data beyond is kept in the correct position.
Is there any way of doing this via macros or am I in for a very boring afternoon?
Many thanks for any help.
Marc
