Is there a way to highlight part of the text in a field and mak that text a certain color and not effect the color of the unhighlighted text.

Spell Check in Excel
Press F7 to start spell check in Excel. Be careful, by default, Excel does not check Capitalized Werds (whoops)
No. In Access Formatting applies to the whole field. (unless it has changed in the latest version!)

Not sure if this is of any help but, you can change the font color of specific letters within a single cell by highlighting them in your Formula bar window and selecting a new color.
