Teradata / Excel / VBA : Problem

Hello,

I've got a functioning ODBC connection that allows me to execute a single select statement on Teradata. If I add another statement to the batch, it goes wrong. I don't think there is teradata version of 'SET NOCOUNT ON' so I'm now thinking that I will need to:

1. Write some VBA that creates an ADO or DAO connection
2. Execute an Action query over that connection (the 'select' statement that generates the desired output relies on some prior 'create table' statements)
3. Then I can run my select statement.

The problem is that I have not got a clue how to do steps 1 and 2. Not even sure that this is the right approach? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

John
