hello people,

i was wondering if it was possible to password protect tables within a access database. or just stop a another person from viewing it in some way. i am aware of the the hide feature to hide tables.

i have a table in which user information is stored for management purposes only. however other users too use the system (database) and i was wondering if it was possible to protect this table from others viewing it?

thanx alot guys!

How to show all formulas in Excel?
Press Ctrl+` to show all formulas. Press it again to toggle back to numbers. The grave accent is often under the tilde on US keyboards.
Hi,

The only way that I'm aware of to do this is to use user-level security. It can be a little tricky to set up but it allows you to secure your database and the objects within it. You can prevent someone from viewing a table.

The secfaq document from here should get you going. Also, Access has a built-in security wizard (Tools, Security, User Level Security Wizard.
