Table properties taking ages to open (SQL Server query)

Hello,

I'm working on a file where I pull data from different SQL Servers, and there is one with which I'm facing issues.

Indeed when I want to edit a query that feeds one of my powerpivot tables, by clicking on "Table Properties", the query can take up to 30 min to be ready to edit. Then my queries only take a few seconds to execute.

Does someone has an idea?

Thanks,
Olivier.

Test for Multiple Conditions in IF?
Use AND(test, test, test, test) or OR(test, test, test, ...) as the logical_test argument of IF.
Wow. That I have never seen. That's terrible -- I don't really even have a theory :( I mean, maybe you can hook up a profiler to sql and see what it's executing?

I would try flipping to a different db provider.

Thanks for your answer, I can't switch of provider as it's a global system used by everyone, not that simple to make it change haha. The thing is that I have no problem with other servers. Well I'll wait to see if someone already experienced this.
