Hi,

I am working on a file which I have rebuilt from a old file. When creating the file I copied over all of the old formulas and then went about removing the external references to the previous file. I have ran CTRL+F for "xl" in the full workbook and have confirmed to no reference to any external spreadsheet exisits.

The problem I have is that when I paste into a Data Table and the table extends, it extends using a formula which references the old file, rather than just continuing the formula as it would do usually.

How do I go about fixing this and removing all external links forever?

Thanks
Dan

Pivot Table Drill Down
Double-click any number in a pivot table to create a new report showing all detail rows that make up that number
The named ranged were fine so I have deleted and re-written all formulas in the top row which seems to have worked

Typically with a table you need to copy the formula (or formatting) to all rows in the table at once for it to reset the default formula (or formatting) so that it uses that when the table extends.
So
• remove any filters
• pick a cell with the right formula (or consecutive columns)
• Hit Ctrl+C to copy
• Ctrl+Space bar to select the whole column
• Ctrl+V to paste
