Hi,

Im designing a table where i want a value in a text box that pulls information from another table dependingg on criteria in the form that im designing

Can this be done if so can anyone please point me in the right direction

I think I interpret this differently: the form textbox gets populated from "another table" (tableB) based on form criteria, and the goal is to update the table currently being designed with that value. So the textbox would have to be unbound. Some event (command button click?) will have to update the textbox using either a query object or vba sql statement, then update target table with the value of the textbox. However, there really is no need for the textbox if I understand the process. It should be enough to pass the form criteria to a query that updates the target field - i.e. if you can get the value to dump into a textbox, then why not just get it and write it to the table and skip a step?
