Hello, I am using Excel 2004 for the Mac.
I need to create a tab delimited file, the problem is that one of the columns is for a product description, which in most cases exceeds the space of the cells in the column. Excel shows those fields that exceed the space with a series of ####s. (If I click on those fields, I can still see the original text, though.)
My problem is that when I save to tab delimited any cell in that state is exported as #####, not the original text. I have extended the column width as far as Excel will allow me, which helps some, but that still leaves a lot of cells with the ####s which have a lot of text.
Is there any way to force Excel to save out the original contents of those cells?
Thanks.
