I have a chart that shows performance against target (example image below) set up initially as a line chart with markers using data from column A (currently shown on the x axis), and columns E:G for the points plotted in the chart. Lines have been removed from columns E and G, and markers removed from column F. So far so good...
I've now been asked if I can "rotate" the chart so that names are all shown in the y axis (essentially rotate it 90 degrees clockwise). This would have the effect (for example) of changing the horizontal black target line to being a vertical target line with values below target appearing to the left of the target line (they currently appear below it), and those exceeding the target to appear to the right of the target line (they currently appear above it). The final result would look like this...
I did try selecting chart data and switching row/column, but that just set all of my name values as legend entries.
I know that charts can't be rotated, and while I could achieve the end result by selecting the cells around the chart and pasting as a picture link (rotated) - which is what I did to create the "portrait" image above - it's a bit of a pain to do that and I'd much rather create a chart the way I want it to appear.
Is there a way to create a chart like the second image above?
