Hello,

I conducted a survey on people's emotional well-being after they had received a emotional counselling service.

I asked respondents 5 separate questions on how effective the counselling service was with 7 response options:
- Strongly agree
- Agree
- Neither agree or disagree
- Disagree
- Strongly disagree
- N/A
- Blank (no response entered)

I want to mark all respondents who said either: Neither agree or disagree, Disagree, Strongly disagree, N/A or Blank to ALL 5 questions.

Basically I want to count the number of respondents who didn't get anything out of the emotional counselling service.

What's the best way to do this?

Thanks!

Excel Facts

Links? Where??
If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.
I assume you have a unique identifier for each respondent, and have the questions identifiable ?

And you have the answers to all 5 questions associated with those identifiers in one table of data?

In which case a pivot table with the responses in the columns box, and the unique identifier in the rows, and count of the identifiers in the Values box

Filter the responses to the ones your interested in, and if it adds up to 5 in total for the respondent, then you have identified them!
