Seein's ta how HTML seems ta be pesterin' our fair admins & moderators more'n fleas on a poor ol' hound dog, I'm a wonderin if'n HTML tags might not find themselves personas non grata 'round these parts one day.

One of things I ain't figured out how to do w/o HTML is superscriptin' or subscripting, which can come in handy now and again. Is there any way to superscript or subscript in a post w/o using HTML?

Lucky you! I just happened to pop in for a quick moment from work (hi, by the way :) ).

As to the super/subscript question--there is no built-in board code for it, but I should be able to add board code tags that can do it.

I'll check with Tracy before I actually do that, though. :)

  • And a chipper "howdy do" right back atcha. Trust you've been well.
  • Lucky indeed, but 'tis always a lucky day when I get to banter with you :p
  • 'twas Miss Tracy that suggested that if'n there was any body that'd know how ta do this, 'twould be the Pookinator
  • If'n ya do happen to correspond w/ starl today, send 'er sumpin' funny (you bein' quite gifted at spreading smiles about, I figger you'd have something up yer sleeve in that area); I think the lass could use a cup o' sunshine this mornin'.

Whatever your taking in might help...
*yeesh*

Greg

The tags for superscript and subscript appear to be sup and sub Superscript Superscript and Subscript Subscript.

Let bTestOfNoriesComment = Logax = wn

DOH! Now why did I not simply friggin' try that? Sheesh!

Don't beat yourself up about that, Greg--those would be the custom codes I added after I saw this. So they didn't exist when you were originally posting about it :)

We weren't actually going to tell people about those being added until we double-checked things with Suat. (At the time I added them, I was thinking I could enable/disable them, but no. I was just relying on no one *finding* them since there was no clicky button for them).

Oh, thank heavens. I though I'd done lost my mind, 'cause I was 'bout 80% sure that I'd tried that a few days ago and that they had not worked. But I've been playin' Mr.Mom for the past week and frankly, I'm just a bit punch-drunk these days.

I've been looking at BB codes look safe for the board. Much safer than html...
